Hey Chicks Blog Hop

 Hey Y’all!

Or should I say, Hey Chicks!  That's the theme of this oh so fun Blog Hop!  When Stampin' Up! announced they were bringing back the Hey Chick stamp set, and that it had coordinating dies, I could not wait! I have two projects to share with you today.

The first project I am sharing is this basket I created from one of the Mini Shipping Boxes.  I embellished it with the Flower and Field DSP (it's free during Saleabration, which ends this month!)  I used the DSP to determine my color palette.  That is one of the things I love most about Stampin' Up!, everything coordinates!

The handle was made from the Warm Wrap dies.  I die cut several of the scalloped dies, then glued them together. I added some strips of Just Jade cardstock underneath to make it more secure.

I did some "paper piecing" with the chicken's wing by stamping the chicken, then stamping it again and just cutting the wing and raising it up with a dimensional to make it look like it is holding the sign.

I found some Easter Eggs in my stash, and packaged them in one of the Printed Gusseted Cellophane Bags.  Of course, I had to add a tag. Those chicken tracks are just the cutest! This will make a perfect Easter gift, or why wait until Easter?

I had all of these supplies on my desk, so why not make a card? And I had to feature my favorite "chick" in the set!

Even though the Warm Wrap Dies were meant to wrap around a coffee cup, I love how they can be used to add a scalloped edge to a card. I also used one to make a label for my "Hey Chick" sentiment.

And I told y'all I just love the die that makes the chicken feet tracks, so I had to add that to the inside of my card. I also added a leftover strip of  DSP, which is a great way to use up scraps. This set just makes me smile, and I hope my projects have brought a smile to your face today!
Make sure to hop all the way through to see more fun projects featuring this set.
