A Sketch Challenge With Let's Get Hopping

Hey Y'all!

Today we are sharing a sketch challenge. I love to use a sketch as a starting point, especially when I feel like I've lost my crafting mojo and feel "stuck." And sometimes I feel like I make the same card over and over again, and a sketch can help get me out of that monotony.

I chose one of my favorite Christmas sets-Poinsettia Petals and the matching dies. I also wanted to highlight the Tidings of Christmas DSP.

This card is definitely not a quick and easy card, but the time was oh so worth it! I love the elegance of the gold elements, and the beauty of all of the different textures and layers.

Poinsettia Petals Slimline Card

 Hey Y’all!

I have a stunning card to share with you using the Poinsettia Petals Bundle.

I used the Very Versailles stamp set to create the background. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler onto a Stitched Rectangle die cut.

The focal image was created by doing some tone-on-tone stamping on the poinsettia petals and leaves, then die cutting them and spraying with a mixture of Champagne Mist shimmer paint and 70% alcohol in one of the Stampin’ Spritzers. I added some silver foil elements, and one of the Beaded Pearls for the center.

I stamped a flower image and some greenery on the inside of the card. Slimline Cards will fit in a business size envelope.

Measurements:

Card base- Basic Gray 8 x 7, scored at 3-1/2

Whisper White (outside and inside layer)- 3-1/4 X 7-3/4

Poinsettia Cardstock Colors: Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow

Ink Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Smokey Slate
