Share It Sunday BH

 Hey Y’all!

I am joining my Crafty Collaborations friends from all over the world for this Share It Sunday blog hop.  We are sharing projects using current Stampin' Up! products.  If you have followed me for any length of time, you know I love 3D projects and gifts. As you know, Valentine's Day is coming quickly, and I have some special friends in my life that I wanted to create something special for.

I pulled out my All Dressed Up dies that makes this awesome purse (by the way, it holds ALOT of Dove® chocolates, js), and fancied it up with the True Love DSP.  This paper is so fun because you can color it! I used my Stampin' Blends to highlight one of the flowers.

I added texture with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder.  I also added one of the Heart Charms. I tied it on with some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon that I altered by just cutting the edge off of the ribbon.

I created this matching 3 x 3 card (Cardstock is 3x6, scored at 3) to go with my gift. It tucks nicely inside the purse. I chose to leave the DSP black and white on the front of the card, but stamped "Love" in Real Red to add color. By the way, if you love this DSP, you can create your own because the flowers in the stamp set closely match it.
Vickie Littlewood is next on the hop, I can't wait to see what she has in store.!

Watercoloring With A Touch of Ink

 Hey Y’all!

I am not much of a water- colorer. But I saw a fellow demonstrator, Leslie Watkins create a card that I just had to CASE.

You can see her amazing creation on her YouTube channel, Dandelion Cottage, here is the link to the video.  Now if you go there, you will see there is NO comparison, she is a true artist.  I tried the "no line" watercoloring she did...No, just no.  Mine looked like blobs.  But I decided to try again, this time stamping the images in Basic Gray.

I was very pleased with the results! So don't be afraid to try new things. This stamp set, A Touch of Ink, is a free Saleabration item with a $100 purchase.  It has great images, great sentiments, and can be used for coloring in the images with blends, watercolor pencils, or water painters, or you can use the 2 step stamps and fill the images in.

Everyone who orders a minimum of $25 in January will be entered into a drawing to win this pack of Flower and Field DSP:  ****you must use the host code GP9QTMZJ and place order by 1/31/21.

So what about you? Have you tried watercoloring? Stampin' Up! has some great products to get you started-water painters, high quality watercolor paper, and our water-based inks. To order any of the supplies I used, simply click on the images below to go to my online store.

Project Details and Tips:
  • Card Base-Thick Basic White 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4, Granny Apple Green layer 3-3/4 x 5-1/4, Watercolor Paper 3-1/2 x 5
  • Use acrylic blocks as palettes for the ink, simply press the block into the ink pad
  • The more water you add to the ink, the lighter the color
  • Use Stazon or Basic Gray ink to stamp your image, Memento Ink is not water resistant and will bleed and ruin your project.
Thanks for stopping by!  Make somebody smile, send a handmade card!
Love,
Nina
