This Little Piggy loves Crafting Forever

Hey Y'all!
I am so excited to share this card with you!  Although I really hated having to send it!  Last week was a tough week, and by Thursday I was drained.  Well, a very dear friend who just so happens to be me Stampin' Up! Upline had a demonstrator meeting that I totally forgot, I mean it wasn't even on my radar!! My phone was on silent, so I didn't hear it when she called and texted.  She lives 45 minutes away, so there was no way I could go.  Y'all ever done that?  Please tell me I am not the only one!  The bad thing is, I was really looking forward to it, at least I was the week before when I knew it was coming, and it was still on the radar, so to speak!
Well, here is my apology card.  If you've got to apologize, at least make the card fabulous, right?
This is a card I have been wanting to case since OnStage.  It was a card that someone in our group received as a swap.  It had the pig holding the pen like it was writing, and I just loved that concept!  In fact, I didn't have the set Crafting Forever until I saw that card, then I couldn't wait to get it!  I wish I knew the demonstrators name to give her credit.  It was at Onstage Atlanta 2018, so if you received one of her swaps, or know who she was, please leave her name in the comments below!
I stamped just the bottom portion of the pig stamp onto the soft sky panel, then stamped the pig again onto Powder Pink.  I fussy cut the little guy and the pen (colored with Stampin' Blends), then popped them up with dimensionals.  The white embossed stamps are from the Make A Difference stamp set, which is a new item in the 2018-19 Annual Catalog that goes live June 1st.  But you can preorder it now in the Share What You Love Bundles available until May 31st.  Did you know the bundles contain free products! Make sure you check them out here.  A word of caution: there are some TINY stamps in that set, be very careful.  Comment below if you have any tips on keeping up with tiny stamps, because I sure need them!  See that apostrophe?  I spent over an hour looking for it!  It was stuck in a groove in my Stamparatus!
The Soft Sky color is retiring at the end of May, as well as the Petal Passion DSP (used in the bottom panel.) But everything else will be available in the new catalog.  Those piggies are just so darn cute!
I hope my project inspired you to get crafty, and brings a smile to your face.

Coffee Cafe Gift Box with Lots To Love Box Framelits

Hey Y'all!
I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!  It is hard to believe we are in the middle of May, and only a couple more weeks until the new Stampin' Up! 2018-19 Annual Catalog goes live! That also means you only have a few short days before the retiring products are no longer available.  (Remember, stamps are guaranteed through May 25, all other products are "while supplies last.")
Now if you hang around me, it won't take very long for you to find out I LOVE COFFEE!  So the Coffee Cafe bundle was at the top of my list last year when the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog came out.  And I am so glad it is carrying over! I decided to pair it with another favorite from the 2018 Occasions Catalog, which is, sadly, retiring.  The Lots to Love Box framelits truly give you "Lots To Love!"  This set is so versatile, I have made so many cute projects with those box framelits.

The Coffee Break DSP is retiring, as well as that beautiful Old Olive Mini Chevron ribbon.  I checked the availability as I was writing this (5/14/2018) and everything used here is still available.
Tips:
  • You will need 2 of the box panels, DSP needs to measure at least 4-1/4 x 6-1/2"
  • Finished box size is 4-7/8 x 3 x 5/8"
  • Use a strong adhesive (I used Tear & Tape) to glue the box together
  • I used the 3/4" circle punch to make a "thumb tab" at the top of the box to make it easier to open

Purse Treat Holder with 6x6 paper

Hey Y'all!
I have a sweet little treat for Mother's Day to show you! How many of you have a ton of DSP (Designer Series Paper) you need to use up?  This little project will help you!  It uses a 6x6 piece of DSP, for this project I used the beautiful Petal Passion from the 2018 Occasions Catalog, it is retiring at the end of May, but at the time I wrote this, it is still available.
I love how the black and white makes the Melon Mambo pop!
Isn't that flower just too cute!  I explain how to make it using the Daisy Punch and the 1-1/8" Scallop Circle punch in this video:

The greeting comes from the retiring set "A Mother's Flair".  I also featured this stamp set in a previous blog, you can view that here.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day.  I am thankful I still get to celebrate with my mom.
