Hey Y'all!
Life is good! Busy, chaotic, but good....my Saleabraton Saturday series has turned into just a Saleabraton Series. I am just getting a chance to share these cards made with the Dainty Flowers DSP.

This first card was made at a card class with a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of the DSP, but we altered it. Let's see if you can see the difference. Here is the panel unaltered.

And here is a close up.

No, that's not the lighting! We used a blending brush and Pool Party ink to change the white back ground. And do you see the bee and butterfly? The bee was stamped in Memento directly onto the DSP, then colored with a Stampin' Blend and some Wink of Stella. We also stamped the sentiment directly onto the DSP. I love the Brushed Brass Butterflies (say that 3 times fast!) so we added one of those. Then layered it onto a piece of 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 panel of Basic Black, wrapped a length of the new Pool Party Grosgrain ribbon (also altered by cutting in 1/2) and tied a bow, then attached that to a Pool Party cardbase.

I saw this style of card on a video from another company, just one of those ads that pops up in your feed. Then lo and behold, one of my demo friends was making one on her live video last week! I don't know what the official name is, but I'm calling it a Lattice card. I knew it would be perfect to look like a vine growing up a fence or lattice.

To create this style card, start with a top folding cardbase, 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2. Remove 3" from the cardfront, then cut that piece into 1/2 inch strips, you will have 6. Attach a piece of Post-It Tape® with the sticky side up to center of the cardfront. Place 4 of the 1/2" strips across the tape, then open up the card, and adhere the last two strips to the edges. Remove the tape and embellish as desired. I added a panel of DSP layered onto a panel of Starry Sky, then fussy cut a pattern from the DSP to go on the "trellis." Did I mention this paper coordinates with the Dainty Delight Bundle? And do you recognize that little bee again? He is so stinkin' cute! And he, and the sentiments used on these first 2 cards comes from another free set that I featured last week. You can see it here'

This last card may be my favorite. It reminds me of a quilt, and it shows off several patterns of the DSP. It's also a great way to use up some of those scraps floating around your desk!

Cut your DSP into 5/8 x 4-1/4 strips and layer onto your card front. I embossed a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Starry Sky with the new Cane Weave embossing folder. I punched a piece of Basic White with the Handmade Tag punch, then used Starry Sky and Fresh Freesia ink for my stamping. The sentiment and image comes from the Hope and Prayer set. Some Starry Sky Baker's Twine and In-Color Matte Decorative Dots was the perfect finishing touch.

Friendly Hello Card

Hey Y'all!
Today, I wanted to share a card made with the Friendly Hello stamp set, one of the free items you can choose during Saleabraton. What is even better, it also has coordinating DSP. You get them both with a $100 product purchase.

I love the images in this set, and the colors of the DSP are just beautiful!

The colors used were Pale Papaya and Basic Gray. I stamped the bird image on a piece of vellum that was die cut with the Layering Circles dies. I created the background with some "tone on tone" stamping-stamping in Pale Papaya onto a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Pale Papaya cardstock.

I added some sparkle to the greeting with my Wink of Stella pen. This is one of the cards we will be making at my monthly Sweet and Simple class starting back February 7. Click on "Calendar" above to see the details and also other classes available.
I will be sharing more projects made with the stamp set and DSP this week. If you aren't already subscribed to my blog, make sure you do so you don't miss any inspiration!

Stampin' For Christmas Blog Hop-Quick and Easy Tag and Card

Hey Y'all!
Whew!!! We are down to the wire!! 20 days til Christmas!! I have had so much fun hopping with this amazing group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, I can't believe this is our last hop for 2021! Now if you are that person that has all of your shopping done, gifts wrapped, decorations up, and are just sitting back waiting for it to happen...Kudos to you! This post is one you can just sit back, sip your coffee, and look at the pretty pictures. BUT!! for those of you like me that are starting to feel the pressure and even panicking a little wondering how you are going to get it all done....this one's for you! I've got a quick and easy card and tag. Also, scroll all the way down to see one of my favorite recipes for a quick and easy treat that makes a great gift!

My projects today use 2 different DSP's, 2 punches, 2 colors of cardstock (and one of those is Basic White), 1 stamp set, 1 color of ribbon/trim, and 1 ink color.

Here is a closer look at the card.

I chose a simple layout-Cherry Cobbler cardbase, a 2 x 5-1/2 strip of DSP, then (2) 1/2 x 5-1/2 strips. The "Merry Christmas" sentiment from Christmas To Remember fit perfectly on one of the 1/2" strips that you have a ton of after cutting down your Basic White to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 panels, at least I have a ton of them, anyway!

Center the 2 x 5-1/2 strip of DSP (Peaceful Place is what I used) vertically onto the card front, then place the smaller strips on either side. I punched 3 trees with the Pine Punch from different designs of the Tidings of Christmas DSP and adhered them to the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen, added a loop of Simply Elegant Trim, and popped it up with dimensionals. As of the writing of this, the only thing that is not currently available is the Tidings of Christmas DSP, that is what I used to punch the trees. A great substitute option would be the Heartwarming Hugs DSP.

One great feature of this stamp set is there are multiple sentiments perfect for the inside of your cards.

The tag was created with a 2 x 4-1/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler punched with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. The DSP layer is 1-3/4 x 3-3/4. Again, the 'Tis The Season sentiment fit perfectly on one of those 1/2 strips leftover. Add the bow with a glue dot and a length of trim to tie the tag on to the gift....easy peasy!
These are projects you could prep and then sit and watch the Hallmark Channel (anybody else addicted to those Christmas movies? I don't care if they all have the same plot...I love them!!!) and assemble your cards.

You can adapt these projects and use what you have, but if you need to order anything, you should be able to get it in time for Christmas. Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air (that's usually the option I choose because it is only $20 extra, and next day is pretty pricey) are options available.

If you still need a gift idea, and are short on time, here is one of my favorite recipes for some quick and easy candy that everyone loves!

Crunchy Christmas Candy

1-1/2 cups Captain Crunch™ Cereal
1-1/2 cups Rice Krispies™ Cereal
1-1/2 cups dry roasted peanuts
1-1/2 cups mini marshmallows
1 package vanilla almond bark (candy coating)
Wax paper

Combine 1st 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Melt the almond bark and pour over dry ingredients. Mix well. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to dry.

Stampin' Up! has several food safe packaging options you can choose from...here I've chose the Printed Gusseted Cellophane bags. PS: November's Paper Pumpkin-Gifts Galore-has the cutest To and From stamp that is perfect for the back of your tags!
Leave me a comment and let me know if you are ready for Christmas or not!

Now you get to hop over to the amazing Kate Bolt and see what she has created today!
