Stampin' For Christmas Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!

It's time for the monthly Stampin' For Christmas Blog Hop! Just a group of crafters keeping Christmas in our hearts all year long, literally!

I'm sharing a project we made at my February Christmas Club featuring the Ringed With Nature Stamp set and coordinating dies and hybrid embossing folder.

For this card, we used the stamps to create a background, then heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto a label. Touches of gold accents helped create the elegant look of this card.

This would be a great card to mass produce, and the layout is one you can replicate.

Peaceful Deer-Stampin For Christmas Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!

It's the first Saturday of the month, and that means it's time for our monthly Stampin' For Christmas Blog Hop.

Today I'm sharing this card I made with the Peaceful Deer stamp and coordinating Deer Builder punch. Pool Party, Gray Granite, and Real Red is the color palette I chose for this project. If you know me, you know if I make a Christmas Card, some shade of red is going to be included somewhere. I chose the Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon, but it just seemed too wide, so I cut it lengthwise to give me a narrow stirp of ribbon to tie around my panel.

Stampin' For Christmas-1st Christmas Card of the Year!

Hey Y'all!

It's time for the Stampin' For Christmas crew to share more Christmas projects with you! It's hard to believe we are already into March. I am sharing my first Christmas card of the year.

It is a simple design made with strips of DSP-a great way to use up your scraps.

I started with a 1/2 x 5 piece of a wood pattern from the In Good Taste DSP to make the "trunk" of the tree. Then I cut strips of Tidings of Christmas, all 1/2 inch width, and the lengths were 1/2 inch difference. The longest was 3-1/2, then 3, then 2-1/2, 2, 1-1/2, and 1. I cropped the star using the Stitched Stars dies.

I stamped the inside of the card with a sentiment and pine bough images from Poinsettia Petals. Thanks for stopping by today! Now it's time to see what my friend Victoria is sharing. Make sure to check out all of the lovely projects!

A Sketch Challenge With Let's Get Hopping

Hey Y'all!

I'm so excited to hop again with my Let's Get Hopping friends! This group was my initiation into blog hops, and I am so grateful for their friendship and inspiration over the past few years. This is our 49th hop! If you are arriving from Mikaela's blog, or starting here, Welcome!

Today we are sharing a sketch challenge. I love to use a sketch as a starting point, especially when I feel like I've lost my crafting mojo and feel "stuck." And sometimes I feel like I make the same card over and over again, and a sketch can help get me out of that monotony.

I chose one of my favorite Christmas sets-Poinsettia Petals and the matching dies. I also wanted to highlight the Tidings of Christmas DSP.

This card is definitely not a quick and easy card, but the time was oh so worth it! I love the elegance of the gold elements, and the beauty of all of the different textures and layers.
