Hey Y'all!
I am hopping today with some awesome friends from Crafty Collaborations.  In this Stampin' Dreams blog hop, our theme is "What's New?"

I think all of us, after the craziness of 2020, are so thankful for a new year.  I also love the beginning of the new year because that is when Stampin' Up! launches Sale-a -bration.

I decided to focus on those 2 things-a new year and new Sale-a-bration products, and create a desk calendar with a place for sticky notes.

The Berry Blessings Stamp Set and Berry Delightful DSP are FREE with a $100 purchase. The mini-calendars came from Taylored Expressions.  You can order them here.

Measurements:
  • 4 pieces of Poppy Parade-Base-4-1/4 x 11, scored @ 5-1/2 and 2-3/4, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, 2-3/8 x 3-1/8( for backing the calendar), 3x3-3/4, scored @ 3-1/4 and 3-1/2 (for the sticky notes)
  • DSP-4x5-1/4, 3x3 (sticky note cover), 1x4-1/4

Clay Pot Stamping...Stamps Are For More Than Paper Part 2

Hey Y'all!
If you know me personally, you know I love all things crafty.  Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator helps satisfy that craving, and most of the time I stick to papercrafting. But I love it when I can take my stamps "outside the box". My last blog showed you how I used stamps to paint a birdhouse.  You can see that post here.

Today I wanted to share this project...a clay flower pot I painted using the oh so cute Little Ladybugs stamp set that was a host-only set during Saleabration.

I hated to see this one go. I have always loved ladybugs...well, decorative ones...not necessarily real ones. It may be because they are red, and I am partial to red...see table...You can see a shaker card I made with this set here.

Now some of you could freehand this and it would look amazing.  Not me. I've already shared I can barely draw a stick figure.  This technique works best with open images made for coloring.  Stampin' Up! has lots of those to choose from! (PS, did you know the new catalog is almost out?  Make sure you give me your contact information so I can send you one, if you don't already have a demonstrator.)

I painted the background color first with acrylic paint (the cheap kind from Wally-world.)  Then I added my images.  The first trick is don't put the stamp on a block., just hold it on your fingers. You need it to be flexible to curve around the pot.  I inked up my stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then pressed the stamp to the pot.  Some of the ink didn't transfer, and that is ok. I had enough of the image outline to go by.

Once you finish painting, you will need to spray the pot with a sealer, especially if you plan to use it outside.  I've put a Gerbera Daisy in mine and placed it on my table by my pool. I hope you enjoyed this project, thanks for stopping by!

****Edtited*****
I did not think about clay pots being porous.  DO NOT put a plant directly into the pot, put it in a smaller container inside.  Moisture will seep through and mess up the paint underneath.  I learned this the hard way!!!
I would love to earn your business.  If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and live in the US, contact me and I will send you a catalog.  It is so much fun!  We have products for any level of crafter, from the beginner to the avid. Let me help you out with your crafting needs!
Love,
Nina

Make It In Minutes! With Lily Impressions DSP & Lily Pad Dies

Hey Y’all!
I’m sharing a card with you today that you can literally make in minutes! Well, it took me a while because I thought I had the stamp set that goes with this gorgeous DSP and these amazing dies, and I tore apart my craft room looking for it. Then I finally looked up my order history, and realized I did not order the stamp set (guess what will be on my next order?)
Letting the DSP do most of the work is the secret to making these gorgeous cards. This Lily Impressions DSP (did I mention it’s FREE during Saleabration?) is a great choice. I added die cuts from the coordinating Lily Pad dies (also FREE!), and a punch with a sentiment from the classic Colorful Seasons Stampin set.

I added some Silver thread and Voila! Finished card! Look for more “Make It In Minutes” blog posts in the coming weeks that will feature quick and easy cards. Make sure you are subscribed to my blog so you don’t miss anything!
Tips and Tricks:
  • Card Base Lovely Lipstick 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4, DSP layer 4x5-1/4
  • Choose colors from the DSP for ink colors and die cuts (here my lilies and the strip use Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo, ink color is Lovely Lipstick)
  • Add a strip of DSP to the inside of your card, and also the envelope! My inside piece (not pictured) was 4x3/4.
  • To add DSP to the envelope flap, cut DSP to 6 x 2-1/2, apply liquid glue to flap, adhere DSP, then fussy cut around edge of flap to remove excess.
  • Another time saving tip-cut several dies at once. I ran all of the Flirty Flamingo dies through at one time on the same piece of cardstock. Some of you didn’t know you could do that, did you? Same for the Lovely Lipstick pieces.
If you love the products used in this card, click on the images below to go to my online store. Use the current host code found in the right column to earn Loyalty Rewards from me. The Saleabration items are free with qualifying orders. Level 1 is the DSP, free with a $50 order, Level 2 is the dies, free with a $100 order.  If you would like a catalog and do not currently work with a demonstrator, email me your address at ninamac32@hotmail.com, and I will be happy to send you one.
Love,
Nina

Painted Seasons-Best Ever

Hey Y’all!
I can’t believe we have less than 1 month of Saleabration! And this has been one of the most successful I’ve ever been a part of. So many things have sold out within days of being announced...which can be frustrating for sure. But today’s card features 2 stamp sets from the selection of free goodies, and since Stampin’ Up! manufactures their own stamp sets, they will be available until the very end.
And this color palette...it was just one of those moments a that you hear the hallelujah chorus or something!
Smoky Slate for the card base, Pool Party in that gorgeous DSP in the Painted Seasons Bundle, Flirty Flamingo flowers, and Granny Apple Green leaves.
The sentiment comes from another Saleabration set, “All Adorned,” and stamped in Smoky Slate onto my all-time favorite framelit from the Stitched Labels gives just the right touch of softness to this card. There are also matching framelits for the Painted Seasons stamps, but I just “fussy cut” the leaves. As of right now, they are still available, but only while supplies last, so if you want them, get them quick! The Metallic Edge Ribbon adds a touch of elegance.
Stamping the inside of the card (and the envelope) is as much fun as decorating the card front!
Tips & Tricks
  • Card Base-Smoky Slate 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4,  DSP layer and Whisper White inside layer-4 x 5-1/4
  • "Stamp off" (stamp image onto a scrap piece of paper) flower after inking in Flirty Flamingo to get lighter color.
  • Place strips of snail onto back of label to attach leaves and ribbon
  • The Die Brush is great for removing pieces stuck after running through Big Shot

Only a few more days to grab this beautiful set!  And both stamp sets and the gorgeous Designer Series Paper you can only get for FREE!  A $150 purchase will earn you the Painted Seasons Bundle and the All-Adorned stamps.  Plus, that will be considered a workshop, and you will receive another $15 (10%) of product in host rewards!  Or, even better, if you are going to spend over $99, join my team as a demonstrator for $99, and get $175 of product!! What a deal! (Saleabration products cannot be earned with the starter it, they require a separate purchase.)  When you become a demonstrator you can enjoy 20-25% off of future purchases.  Contact me for more details, or click on the Join The Fun Tab to sign up.  Click on the links below to order any products used, if you are ordering less than $150, please use the current host code found in the right column.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Love, Nina
