Over The Moon Graduation Card

Hey Y’all!
Today is a very special day for our family...we get to see my daughter graduate from college! She set a goal to get her Bachelor’s Degree (a 4year degree) in 2-1/2 years, and she did it! On top of that, she is graduating Summa Cum Laude...can you say proud mama?!!
So an occasion like that deserves a very special card...

My daughter is all about some cows, that is what she is going to do with her degree, work in the cattle industry, so I was so happy when Stampin’ Up! created the Over The Moon set. I tweaked the image by inking you the stamp with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker (the original image has the cow holding a flower.) This allowed me to only ink up the area of the stamp I wanted, then I filled in the blank spots. The Stampin’ Write markers are the ones to use to ink up your stamps.

I colored the cow image with Stampin’ Blends, and fussy cut the Graduation hat. The diploma is just a small piece of copy paper rolled up and tied with a piece of the Gold Metallic edge ribbon. I just trimmed off the gold edge. The frame was made with the Stitched Rectangle dies and Stitched Nested dies.

The Royal Peacock set had the perfect sentiments for the inside. I love how Stampin’ Up! allows me to make the perfect card for any occasion, and it makes it that much more special.

More Cow Card Candy with Over The Moon

Hey Y’all!

Do you believe June is already here! Only 3 days until the brand new catalog goes live, I can hardly wait! I have some more “cow eye candy” for you today.

I did the little trick of using stamps from the “Do What You Love” set. I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of 4x5-1/4 piece of Whisper White.

Then I cut a frame with the Stitches Rectangle Dies. The cow image is stamped onto a piece of WW with Memento and colored with Stampjn’ Blends markers.

I added an inside sentiment from the “Strong and Beautiful” Stamp set and another cow image. The card base is Bermuda Bay.

This next card needs a warning...AVID CRAFTER ALERT!! I used the inside piece of the frame from the other card, 3 (you read that right) embossing folders, 4 punches, and the “Well Said” Stamp set and coordinating dies. I got to going and just couldn’t stop! The card base is Thick Whisper White with a Balmy Blue panel embossed with the Subtle embossing folder (1).

Another piece of WW is embossed with the Corrugated EF (2), and then the Pineapple Punch, Night of Navy, and Balmy Blue circles were pinched with the Starburst punch and embossed with the Pinewood Plank EF

The sentiment and Night of Navy Circles we’re punches with the 1-3/8amd 1-1/8 Scalloped Circle Punches.
