Hey Y'all!
The Let's Get Hopping crew is back this month with another round of fun projects to share! This month's theme is "Anything But A Card." If you've been hopping along with us, you arrived here from Shelly Wadge's page-isn't she fabulous! If you are just starting with me, make sure you hop through and see everyone's projects, you are going to get some great ideas for your own crafting!
For my project, I pulled out some dies and coordinating stamps that haven't been feeling the love lately. It's been a while since I've made a project with the All Dressed Up dies. I love making 3D projects, and these purses are so quick and easy! To make the purse, you will need to die cut 2 of the purse dies then adhere them together. I recommend a strong adhesive like Tear & Tape. I have found it's easiest to adhere the sides first and then the bottom, making sure the top of the bag is even.
I love the elegant look of the Blackberry Beauty Suite in the 2021 July-December Holiday Mini. In fact, I used everything but the stamp set and dies! This is a gift for a new Team Member (welcome to the SASS Squad, Tori!) So of course I had to personalize it with a monogram...you know, in the South, we monogram EVERYTHING...even the dog better not sit still for too long! I embossed the pocket with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder, and used the Playful Alphabet Dies to crop a "T" from the Gold Shimmer Vellum that is part of the suite.
I know, I know....anything but a card! Well, I just couldn't help myself! I made this coordinating 3x3 card to go inside the bag. If you are new to cardmaking, or like me and need things detailed and spelled out, to make a 3x3 card, simply cut a piece of cardstock 6 x 3 and score at 3". And they are great to use up small pieces of leftover DSP. Include them in gifts, leave one with your tip at a restaurant or hairdresser, give one to the grocery store clerk that needs their day brightened! Isn't it amazing how a piece of paper folded in 1/2 can brighten someone's day? PS...Did you know Stampin' Up! has 3x3 envelopes? (Note to self: add to my next order because I am out!) My sentiment came from the Saleabration Host Only stamp set, In Your Words. It's only available through September 30, and it's free with a $300 order.
Wooops....anything but a card.....back to the topic. These make such cute gifts, table favors, stocking stuffers, etc., and can be made for any occasion. What kind of treat or gift would you put in them? Leave me a comment and let me know!
Rachael Merrick is up next, hop on over and check out what she is sharing this month!
