Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop-Florals

Hey Y'all!
It's time for another Stampin' Dreams blog hop, and today our projects are centered around the theme "Florals."

I grabbed the Blessings of Home stamp and brought out my watercolor pencils to make this spotlight card.

My cardbase is Bermuda Bay, cut at 4-1/4 x 8-1/4, scored at 5-1/2. This makes a very simple fun fold. I stamped the image in Basic Gray onto a piece of Basic White, then die cut a circle from the middle. I used the watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color the image. I layered the Basic White panel onto a panel of Basic Black, then popped up the circle with dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from Flowing Flowers in Bermuda Bay, then attached this panel to the cardbase. I added a simple twine bow and some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
I added a panel of Basic White to the inside and stamped the floral image again in Basic Gray. I'm so glad you stopped by today, make sure to visit all of the other blogs and see what they are sharing.

Card Measurements:
  • Cardbase: Bermuda Bay 4-1/4 x 8-1/4, scored at 5-1/2
  • Basic White: Front panel 3-1/2 x 4-1/2, Inside panel 4 x 5-1/4
  • Basic Black: 3-5/8 x 4-5/8

Stampin' For Christmas-1st Christmas Card of the Year!

Hey Y'all!
It's time for the Stampin' For Christmas crew to share more Christmas projects with you! It's hard to believe we are already into March. I am sharing my first Christmas card of the year.

It is a simple design made with strips of DSP-a great way to use up your scraps.

I started with a 1/2 x 5 piece of a wood pattern from the In Good Taste DSP to make the "trunk" of the tree. Then I cut strips of Tidings of Christmas, all 1/2 inch width, and the lengths were 1/2 inch difference. The longest was 3-1/2, then 3, then 2-1/2, 2, 1-1/2, and 1. I cropped the star using the Stitched Stars dies.

I stamped the inside of the card with a sentiment and pine bough images from Poinsettia Petals. Thanks for stopping by today! Now it's time to see what my friend Victoria is sharing. Make sure to check out all of the lovely projects!

Just to give you an update on me, we have a new houseguest, she is 18 and her name is Hannah. God has given us the opportunity to pour into her life, and we are taking it day by day. Then this past week, my 92 year old aunt that my daughter Blair, who has Down Syndrome, stays with had to have emergency surgery and is in the hospital and will be going to rehab. It's been a crazy week, but I am so grateful for my crazy, wonderful, chaotic life because it is so rich with people I love. Including you...my stamping friends. Some I have never met face to face, but getting to share the love of crafting is truly a blessing. Thank you for your love and support, you don't know how much I appreciate all of you!
