Throwback Thursday Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!
The Stampin' Dreams crew is back this month with a fun theme-"Throwback Thursday." For this challenge, we could interpret any way. I recently saw a card created by Shannon West that I wanted to CASE. She said it reminded her of the 1980's because of the colors she used. My card takes it back another decade to the 70's, when I was born. The whole time I am making this card, that song The Way We Were is running through my head. "Memories light the corners of my mind...." The 70's were the time of some of the best music-and the best bands-the Bee Gees being at the top of the list! What I've based my card on, though, is everyone's kitchen. The appliances were either mustard yellow (crushed curry) or olive green (old olive.) The colors I've used were in every house somewhere. We even had an olive green bathtub-anybody else remember this?

There were mushrooms, owls, and butterflies somewhere in the decor. I used the butterfly images from Positive Thoughts and the Nature's Thoughts dies.

My strips of cardstock are 1/4", and I placed them by first putting strips of Stampin'Seal, laying down the strips, then cutting off the excess from the edge. The sentiment comes from Slim Sayings. Now that you've gone back in time with me, it's time to hop forward and see everyone's else interpretation. Have a “groovy” day!😊
