Shimmer Paint Technique-Global Design Project #162

Hey Y'all!
Here we are on the last day of October, tomorrow we will be in November, and I am less than 1 week away from leaving for OnStage in Orlando!  Looking forward to a fun time with my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!  I can't wait to share new products and other exciting things I will have learned!
Today I am sharing a Christmas card made for the Global Design Project challenge this week.
My version of this sketch includes a fun and easy technique with Shimmer Paint.

I saw a video from Susan Levasseur of WOW NOLA Creations.  She used a wadded up plastic baggie to apply the shimmer paint to the cardstock.  Simply pour out a few drops onto a piece of wax paper (or any surface that can be cleaned up easily.)  Then pick up the paint with the wadded up baggie and "pounce" all over cardstock.  I used 2 colors, Vegas Gold and Bright Copper.
Gold Foil and Merry Merlot layered together added to the elegant look of the card.  I embossed the large sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set in gold onto Vellum Cardstock.
The shimmer paint has become one of my favorite products! I love the shimmer and shine it adds to my projects.  Subscribe to my blog to see more inspiration, and if you are interested in purchasing any of the products used, just click on the products below to go to my online store.  Please use the current host code found in the right side bar.
Thanks for joining me today!
Love,
Nina
