I have a fun technique to share with you today. It's called the Joseph's Coat technique, it's been around awhile. It got it's name from the Bible figure Joseph and his "coat of many colors." It packs a wow factor, but is fairly simple to do.
Here is a close-up:
It combines two techniques: sponging and heat embossing. I will explain each step, but this is a technique that a video is worth a thousand words, so I have included one for you to watch.
- Step 1: Choose 3-4 colors (I chose Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie, and Blackberry Bliss) and sponge randomly onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Allow to dry thoroughly before the next step.
- Step 2: Stamp images in Versamark ink, then sprinkle with Clear emboss powder. Melt powder with heat tool. (Be sure to use the Embossing Buddy before stamping with versamark.)
- Step 3: Cover cardstock with Early Espresso using a sponge brayer. Buff with a paper towel.
