This week's Global Design Project is right up my alley, or down my lane, lol! I grew up on a farm--my grandmother drove a tractor and a Ford pick-up, she grew okra, raised hogs, and could shoot better than most men! I loved that woman, she had so much spunk! So this week, my card is dedicated to my grandmother, affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Mammy."
This card was actually inspired by a picture one of my friends put on Facebook.
I masked the barn scene and sponged the sunset, grass, and water. I stamped the image on Cherry Cobbler cardstock, fussy cut the barn, and popped it up with dimensionals to make it stand out as the focal point. The silo and background trees were colored with Stampin' Blends.
"Thinking of You" was the perfect sentiment, since I was reminiscing about my childhood days and my grandmother.
