Change Is Beautiful Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!
Today, the Crafty Collaborators are sharing projects from the April 2022 Paper Pumpkin, Change is Beautiful. Stampin’ Up! has outdone themselves with this kit! I love the bright, happy colors, and the Z-fold cards are just too stinkin’ cute!

But today, I am showing you 2 alternate projects I created using the kit. This first project is a Bag-A-Lope made from one of the envelopes. I turned it inside out so the cute polka-dot pattern would show. Score at 1 inch on the sides and bottom of the envelope, then fold and burnish the score lines. Open up the envelope; there will be two triangles on the bottom created from the score lines. Fold these so the points are pointing toward each other and adhere. Push in the sides and fold over the flap. Stamp the sentiment onto one of the strips and adhere over the envelope adhesive. Loop Baker's Twine and adhere behind the large flower, then adhere the flower with dimensionals. To create the closure, place a Mini Dimensional in the center of the bag right underneath the flap. Attach one of the smaller yellow flowers to the dimensional high enough so that the flap can tuck under its edge.
Tip: Use a heat tool to release adhesive, and then use the spatula attachment on the Take Your Pick Tool to slide under the edge to take apart the envelope. Color any white showing from taking apart the envelope with the Light Polished Pink Blend to disguise.

This second project is a bag I made using one of the cards.  These already had 2 score marks since they were made to be Z-fold cards. Place the cards in the Simply Scored with the long edge at the top and the score lines to the right. Score at 1/2 and 3 inches, rotate and score at 1/2 (or 3/4 for a slightly shorter box. The left one was scored at 3/4, the right at 1/2.)  Cut along bottom score lines as you would to create a box. You will need a 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 piece of cardstock to create a "bottom" to the box. The topper piece was made with a 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Melon Mambo scored at 1-1/2, then cropped with a die from Basic Borders. The sentiment piece was created using a brand new set of dies from the 2022-23 Annual Catalog (that goes live May 3! woop woop!) called Stylish Shapes. I stamped the butterfly with Memento ink, colored with Stampin' Blends, then fussy cut and attached it with a dimensional.
I know these instructions may seem confusing. I made a video to upload to my YouTube channel, but technology is not cooperating with me. I am about ready to throw my phone and computer out the window...can anybody else relate? I'm so thankful for technology because it allows us to connect with so many people, but it makes me want to scream lol! But at least these project make me happy, I can't wait to fill them with treats to brighten someone's day!
And, if you want to know what's in one of the boxes, it's a keychain created by my awesome friend Sheli Ladner that owns This Is Home For Us in Whigham, GA. She does ship and accepts Paypal, check her out!

Sheli can customize any design, and she has multiple colors to choose from.

This is such a fun kit, I know you will want to see what everyone else is sharing!

Kisses & Hugs-Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!
I am joining the Crafty Collaborators for a Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop featuring January's kit, Kisses & Hugs.  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription craft kit containing supplies to make the projects for that month. It includes a stamp set, ink, embellishments, instructions for the projects, and the very first kit you get has an acrylic block to use with the stamps. Plus, there is a refill kit available if you need more supplies! But here's my secret: I up my subscription to 2 or 3 when I know the projects will be for a holiday like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's, etc., so I have plenty to share, because those refill kits can sell out fast with popular kits. It is really a party in a box every month. January's kit centers around Valentine's Day, and I am showing 3 alternate projects you can make.

The first project is a Bag-A-Lope. Those envelopes are just too pretty to only stuff with cards! To make a Bag-A-Lope, score 3 sides of an envelope at 1". Fold and burnish the score lines, then open it up to create a bag. At the bottom of the bag, there will be two triangles created from the score lines. Fold these and secure with adhesive to the bottom. If you want to do any stamping on the envelope, do that before you create the bag. I kept my embellishments simple-this is one of the projects we are making at my Girls Valentines Stamp Camp, and there will be girls ranging from 8 years and up. Of course, you can fancy it up as much as you like.

The second project is this banner I created by cutting apart one of the cards. I punched holes in the top of the hearts to thread the string through. I added some tags created with the Tailor Made Tags dies. I stamped them with the heart and arrow images from the stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed in gold.

The last project I CASE'd from a fellow demonstrator, Renee Ewart. You can find her on Facebook at Renee's Paper Crafts. I love the sentiments in this stamp. My sweet mama always replied to "I love you" with "Love You More." She signed almost every card she gave me with that phrase, and it brings such sweet memories to my mind.

It is a gate fold card created by adding 2 score lines to the card bases in the kit.

Score a vertical line in the center of both outside hearts of the card bases.

Fold as shown. I added two of the gold embossed hearts, one to the outside and one to the inside. I stamped the outside heart with Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo. Make sure you only put adhesive on one side when you are adhering it to the card front, or your card won't open!
Below, I have included all of the extra supplies I used to make these projects that aren't included in the kit. You can purchase Paper Pumpkin month to month, but right now Saleabration is going on where you can earn free product with qualifying purchases! Why not take advantage and purchase a pre-paid subscription and get free product as well!

Thanks for joining us today, now you get to see what everyone else is creating!
