Hey Y'all!
Wow! This year has gone by so fast! Here we are in November, and only 2 more Stampin' For Christmas Hops until Christmas! If you are arriving from Annette Elias or starting here with me, Welcome! We are so glad you are here! I hope we have given you lots of ideas that you have pinned to Pinterest or printed out instructions. It has been an honor participating with all of these talented crafters, I know I have been inspired!
Today, I am sharing a Home Decor piece that is so quick and easy to make. It could also be used as a large ornament on a tree.
I love using these inexpensive wood slices to make projects. (I ordered them from Amazon, here is the link.) You can stamp on them, color them, paint them...the possibilities are endless. For this project, I adhered Wonderful Snowflakes on 3 wood slices, then added the letters "J-O-Y" that I die cut from the Red Velvet Paper with the Playful Alphabet dies. I used my favorite ribbon, the Black & White Gingham check, to make bows, then I used a hot glue gun to attach them.
I had some of these 12" wooden dowels in my stash, so I pulled one out and used my Soft Suede Ink Refill and a water painter to stain it. (To see another project that I used Ink Refill to stain a piece of wood, click here.) I attached the wood slices with hot glue, and added a jute twine loop for a hanger. I think I am going to make several of these to give as gifts! Do you give hand made gifts? Let me know in the comments.
