It's another Sale-A-Bration Saturday, and today I want to feature the Beautiful Peacock stamp, and boy does it lives up to its name! This is a 2-step stamp, meaning it takes 2 different stamps to complete the image.
The body of the peacock fits into that fan of feathers behind it. I used the "Rock and Roll" technique (watch for a blog post with video next week to show how to do that) to get the 2 different colors on the "fan" stamp, then I stamped the peacock onto a separate piece of paper and fussy cut it out, then popped it up with dimensionals.
I think I have discovered my favorite ink combination! Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Lemon-Lime Twist! The Bermuda Bay ribbon is also a Sale-A-Bration item, it comes in a pack with Basic Gray and Calypso Coral. Each one is a different width, the Bermuda Bay is the skinniest at 1/8" wide.
The embossing folder is from the Occasion Catalog, the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, and they come in a set of 2. The "Beautiful Friend" sentiment fits perfectly in the 3/4" circle punch, and was layered onto Bermuda Bay cut from the 1" circle punch.
Don't forget to carry your stamping over to the inside of the card, that's one of my favorite things to do when I make a card! Stamp the envelope, also, to tie it all together. Those swirly stamps are beautiful all by themselves, aren't they?
