Hey Y'all!
Today I have stepped out of my comfort zone and joined other demonstrators from all over the globe sharing scrapbooking ideas! This is my first hop with this amazing group of crafters, and I am so excited to be a part of it.
The theme this month is DIY Creative Backgrounds, chosen by Design Team Member Delys Cram. Now just to let you know, I have stepped out of my comfort zone, I am more of a card maker than a scrapbooker. But someone once told me that a scrapbook page is just a large card, and a card is just a small scrapbook page.
I started with a 12 x 12 sheet of Basic White and stamped images from the Very Versailles stamp set. For the script, I stamped several generations of Early Espresso all over the page. For the vine image, I used one of the new In Colors, Evening Evergreen, again stamping 2-3 generations. The mosaic image is stamped in another new In Color, Soft Succulent. I then brought out my Artistically Inked Bundle and coordinating DSP. I stamped one of the smaller flower images in, yes, another new In-Color, Polished Pink, (can you tell I am in love with the new In-Colors?) I also used this to stamp the medallion image.
I die cut this floral piece in Basic White, then used Blending Brushes to add color.
I used a brick stencil and Embossing Paste to create the subtle brick element in the upper left and lower right corners. The Expressions In Ink DSP was a perfect mat for one of my favorite photos of my husband and myself.
This was such a fun project! Now it's time to hop over to Mai Chapelain and see what she has created.
