I am starting a new series of blog posts that will feature some of our Sale-A-Bration products; I am calling it, can you guess, Sale-A-Bration Saturday! So every Saturday I will be featuring one of the Sale-A-Bration items.
Today I want to show off the Party Pandas set.
Those Pandas are so sweet! And this set has several greetings: Happy Birthday, Hi, and Love You, so it is very versatile.
Now this card layout is one I CASE'd from Connie Stewart. I thought it was so fun with the open window. I added a piece of that beautiful Whole Lot Of Lovely DSP to the inside for some contrast. Of course you couldn't write a message on the black and white polka dots, so I used the same Lots of Labels Framelit that I used for the front of the card to place on the inside to write a message to the recipient.
To make this card, you start with a card base measuring 4-1/2 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2. Remove 1-1/2" and then again remove 1-1/2". Save both pieces. I ran the card and 1 of the pieces through the Big Shot in the Ruffled Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder. I did it with the waves going vertically because it reminded me of party streamers. I stamped the panda on the Whisper White layer, then stamped just the balloon on the 3 colors shown, then fussy cut them out and attached them. I did pop the Lemon-Lime Twist balloon up with a dimensional. To add extra balloon strings, just use a black Stamoin’ Write marker. I also used the markers to color on the little confetti stamp. I embossed the Happy Birthday with White Embossing Powder onto Basic Black and used the Duet Banner Punch to make the banner. To attach the lower portion of the card, first attach the extra strip you cut off, like this.
Then attach the lower strip. I used liquid glue for this. This extra strip will also give more stability to the card.
Now you are ready to attach the layered stamped piece. This was a fun card to make, and it will be even more fun to give!
