The Crafty Collaborators have a fun sketch challenge for our Crafty Challenge Blog Hop today. Here's the sketch:
I love using a sketch as a launching pad for crafting. I kept the Slimline card size, but turned it on it's side, and this is what I came up with...
I started with a Petal Pink cardbase that measures 8-1/2 x 7, score on the 7" side at 3-1/2. I've been playing with some new products from the 2022-23 Annual Catalog, and I had not had a chance to ink up the Cup of Tea stamp set. So I chose to use it and the coordinating DSP for my card.
The background was created with one of the Slim Card Dies, and the squares from the new Stylish Shapes Dies were perfect as a backdrop for the teacups. I added texture to the squares with the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder.
I used some new In-Colors for my stamped images, Parakeet Party for the stems and Orchid Oasis for some of the flowers. I actually stamped and die cut the flowers 3 times to have 3 different colors, the other 2 were Fresh Freesia and Flirty Flamingo. The tag and sentiment were stamped with Memento, and I couldn't resist adding that sweet Petal Pink die cut heart. A Baker's Twine bow finished it off.
