St. Patrick's Day Fun

Hey Y'all!

I have some fun projects today to share with you for St. Patrick's Day. If you know me, you know I love gnomes. We had some cute gnome stamp sets that have retired, and I was so sad!! But my team member Pat Gapen showed me how to create one with punch art!

Isn't he cute! I used the Country Bouquet, Bee Builder, and Truck Builder punches. I also used the 2-3/8 Circle Punch that coordinates with the Circle Sayings Stamp Set. It is still available as a bundle until April 30 when the Annual Catalog retires.

To create the hat, I used my Shaded Spruce Blends to draw stripes on a scrap of Basic White, then punched it with the Bee Builder punch. The large heart from the Country Bouquet punch is what created the beard. I chose Cajun Craze because you know Irish gnomes are going to have red hair! I added some squiggly lines with my Cajun Craze Blends to make it look like a beard. The circle from the Truck Builder punch, an Online Exclusive, punched in Petal Pink, is the nose. You could also use a 1/2" Circle.

I embossed a layer of Shaded Spruce CS with the Crosshatch Embossing Folder (it is part of the Basics Embossing Folders in the Online Exclusives.) Since gnomes make me smile, I chose the sentiment "Sending You A Smile." Of course, you have to add a shamrock to a St. Patrick's Day project! You can use 3 hearts to make one, and the small heart from the Bee Builder punch was perfect. Just cut a strip from your scrap for the stem. Some gold sequins and Wink of Stella on the shamrock and hat added the finishing touch.

I used the Envelope Treat Boxes to make a treat holder to match the card. You can see how I created it here on my FB live video.

So what do you think of the Punch Art Gnome? I had so much fun creating these, and I hope I inspired you. Thanks again to my friend Pat for inspiring me!
