All About Tags-Let's Get Hopping Round 16

Hey Y'all!
I am back with the Let's Get Hopping crew sharing Tags with you today, one of my favorite things to make!  Christmas is upon us, and everyone knows it's the packaging that makes the gift, right?  You can give a cheap...ahem...inexpensive gift and make it look like a million bucks with the right wrapping.
All of the tags I have made here use 2 punches everyone should own, the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and the Detailed Trio Punch (that's what I used to round the corners at the bottom.)  The measurements for each tag base is 2 x 4-1/4
My first tag I want to share with you was inspired by this sweet ceramic dish I found in a little shop...of course I had to buy it and bring it home!

I knew I could make a tag that looked like that, and I thought the dish would be so neat to give as a gift with a matching tag!  Woops...the store only had one...hope I can find another one, I'm keeping this one!  Here is the tag I came up with...
I don't know if you would call this "Punch Art," but the reindeer's eyes, nose, and antlers were all made from punches.  I just love that Sprig punch...and...BONUS... it makes reindeer antlers...SWEET!  The Chalk Marker lets you add those little details that bring it to life.....

This next tag was inspired by a tin I saw in Hobby Lobby.  I did resist bringing it home...aren't you proud of me?  Buffalo Check is all the rage...you see it EVERYWHERE!  Way to stay on trend Stampin' Up!
The Stamparatus is a must have to use with this background stamp.  You need to stamp it several times to get those solid checks.  Also, make sure your ink pad is inked up well.  You need to have a refill for every color ink pad you have, you never know when it's going to be dry, and you don't want to wait a week for an order to be able to use it!  My tip is just go ahead and order the refill when you order a new stamp pad.  It will last forever, and you don't have to wonder if you have a refill for your ink pad.
Heat embossing gives you the chalkboard look.  The Embossing Buddy is the secret to crisp images with no stray flecks.

The Stampin' Blends make coloring almost effortless.  I can't say enough about them, the more I use them, the more I love them!  In fact, I am planning a Blend's club beginning in January to help customers get them.  Keep watching for more details!  This next tag really showcases them....
There's that Buffalo Check again!  Sponging the edges of the paper with Soft Suede adds to the rustic look of this tag.  If you subscribe to my blog, this isn't the first time you've seen that truck.  Have I told y'all it's my favorite?  If you love it but don't have this stamp set, get it ordered before January 2! You may notice the Merry Christmas is part of a larger stamp; I'm going to tell you a secret that may make you gasp...I cut the stamp!  (hope you read that in a whisper, it's a secret, remember?) As I have been told, stamps are TOOLS, not JEWELS! They will go back together on your block easily, no worries!  PS, I cut the stamp from the Snowflake Sentiments for the Merry Christmas on the previous tag.  I know, I'm a rebel!
I hope I have given you some inspiration to jazz up your gifts, leave me a comment and tell me which one is your favorite!  Now you get to hop over to Tanya Rees and see what marvelous ideas she has in store!
If you are interested in purchasing any of the products I've used and currently do not have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, just click on the images below to go to my online store.  I have kept them in the order of the tag they were used for.  If you have any questions about how any of the tags were made, feel free to contact me.  If you order less than $150, please use the current host code found in the right column.  If you order $150 or more, skip the host code and claim the rewards for yourself!  Subscribe to my blog so you don't miss any of the fun projects I share.
