Hey Y'all!
I have a sweet little treat for Mother's Day to show you! How many of you have a ton of DSP (Designer Series Paper) you need to use up? This little project will help you! It uses a 6x6 piece of DSP, for this project I used the beautiful Petal Passion from the 2018 Occasions Catalog, it is retiring at the end of May, but at the time I wrote this, it is still available.
I love how the black and white makes the Melon Mambo pop!
Isn't that flower just too cute! I explain how to make it using the Daisy Punch and the 1-1/8" Scallop Circle punch in this video:
The greeting comes from the retiring set "A Mother's Flair". I also featured this stamp set in a previous blog, you can view that here.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day. I am thankful I still get to celebrate with my mom.

Hey Y'all!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I want to share this cute project with you, it is a Matchbook Candy Holder that will hold 2 fun size packages of M&M's. This is one reason I love Stampin' Up!-being able to create such cute gift packaging. I want to thank Ronda Wade for her inspiration and ideas for this. This Pocketful of Sunshine bundle is retiring, but the stamp set and framelits are carrying over to the new catalog, you just won't save 10% because they won't be available as a bundle. So, if you want this set, order before May 31 to make sure to save! I think this set is great for kids and teens.
I made these as favors for a Girl's Stamp Camp I held a few days ago, and I hung them on the back of their chairs. Then, I made a couple of extra ones to give to my daughter and her roommate at college during finals week-we all know that chocolate is a necessity during finals, right? When I made these, that beautiful Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper was still in stock. But, alas, so many people love it, and since it is retiring, it is discontinued. Here at the end of the catalog year, all of the embellishments, papers, and things like that are only while supplies last. Stamps sets are guaranteed through May 25. So if there is something you have been eyeing, DON'T WAIT! But no worries, there are lots of new beautiful things that are going to steal your heart! And this project is adaptable to most any design.
Here are the dimensions:
Base-7-3/4 x 3-5/8, score on long side 3-1/2 & 7
Mat (if desired)-3-1/2 x 3-3/8
DSP 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 (for pocket)
scrap of Real Red for glasses
Whisper White-3-5/8 x 3/4 for sentiment
Here is a video showing how it's done, plus some tips and tricks with the amazing Stamparatus!
Hope this inspires you to bring a "Pocketful of Sunshine" to someone and brighten their day! If you are interested in ordering any of the supplies used, please click on the links below. Hey Y'all!
It's great to be hopping again with the Let's Get Hopping Crew! This month we are sharing ideas for sets of cards, something you could give as a gift or for your own personal use. Mother's Day is coming up, and I don't know about you, but my mom is hard to buy for. I mean, she has everything, sometimes TWO of everything! But she is sentimental, and loves getting something handmade. So one of these note card sets would be perfect for her!
I have made several of these cute Clutch Note Card Holders, and they are so easy! The clutch holds 4 of the Note Card and Envelopes, and the embellishment possibilities are just about endless.
For the first one, I used the stamp set "A Mother's Flair" and used the images in the set to make the notecards and matching envelopes. This set is retiring, and is guaranteed to be available through May 25. It would be wonderful for any Mother's Day project, or just for one of those "girlie-girls" in your life. I just love that shoe, and I'm not even a girlie-girl!
The next set I made a set of monogram cards. Here in the south, we monogram everything! And I used one of my favorite items from the new 2018 Annual Catalog, the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (that is a mouthful). This is one of the most beautiful embossing folders I have ever seen...you will be seeing alot of projects with this one! And it is available for you to order in a special preorder during the month of May! It is included in the "Gotta Have It All" bundle (item #149526).
I even used it on the envelope flap...
Here is a video showing you how to make the clutch:
Making these note card sets was so much fun! Now hop on over to Diana Tillery's blog, I know you are going to love her projects!
