Stamps Are For More Than Cards! Home Decor Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!

Have you ever thought of using your stamps, ink, and paper for more than just cards or scrapbooking? Today the Crafty Collaborators are sharing Home Decor ideas! This is gonna be fun!

I used a nautical theme to decorate one of the bathrooms in my home.

So I decided to make custom switch plates!

It's amazing what you can do with some Designer Series Paper and Mod Podge™! I stamped images from the Sailing Home stamp set onto some In Good Taste DSP.

Then I adhered it to the switch plates with Mod Podge™...voila! Custom switch plates!

Mini Slimline Card for the Rainbow Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!

Today the Crafty Collaborators are creating projects with a "rainbow" theme. I am sharing this Mini Slimline Card made with the Rainbows of Happiness bundle and coordinating Sunshine and Rainbows Saleabration DSP.

Did you know the paper also coordinates with the Cloud Punch? I also used one of the Basic Border dies to create an edge for the front of my card.

Since this is a tri-fold card, I had a good bit of real estate to cover, this is the first inside fold.

And here is the very inside of the card.

Instructions, Tips, & Tricks

Bermuda Bay Cardbase 6 x 10-1/2, scored on the long side @ 3-1/2 & 7.
Trim just a hair off of the right edge to keep it from interfering with the left fold
2 pieces Basic White 3-1/4 x 5-3/4
DSP 1-1/2 x 5-3/4
Magenta Madness cardstock to die cut edge piece for inside layer
Color White Baker's twine with a Magenta Madness Stampin' Blend for the bow

Awesome Otters For the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!

Today on the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop, we are sharing projects made with the theme "Furry Friends." Have you seen the FREE Saleabration set, Awesome Otters? These little guys are so stinkin' cute! And so much fun to color.

I also wanted to play along with the Global Design Project's Color Challenge, so I used those colors for this card:

Did you notice they all start with an "M?' I wonder did they do that on purpose?.....hmmmmmm...By the way, if you feel like you are "stuck," your crafting Mojo is gone, find a challenge to participate in. They give you a great jumping off point.

My furry friend is Oscar the Otter-yes, I named him. Don't you? Don't answer that, people will think you are as crazy as I am lol! I combined him with the Sweet Conversations bundle

This image of Oscar made me think of him holding something, so I put some twine in his hands and attached a heart cropped with one of the dies from the Sweet Hearts dies so it looks like he is holding a little banner. You have to fussy cut the little guy-no dies-but it's not hard! I colored him with Stampin' Blends, then popped him up with dimensionals onto a die cut from the Hippo & Friends dies (I have to look them up every time because I call them the Hungry Hippo dies-go figure) that I had added some Mango Melody ink to with a Blending Brush. I stamped 3 rows of hearts, alternating Mango Melody and Magenta Madness. The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight. This could be used for a Valentine card, although that's not what I made it for. It is a thank you card to a special friend because, well, she is "otterly awesome!" Make sure to visit everyone and see their Furry Friends-I wonder if they named them? Lol!
