Stamping For Christmas Blog Hop

Hey Y'all!

Wow, did February go quickly! It is time for our Stampin' For Christmas Blog Hop, and I just know in December we are going to be saying the same thing about 2021...wow, it went by quickly! I am the queen of procrastination, so I am very thankful for these projects....I will have a few things in my stash!

This month, I used the whimsical Snowman Season stamp set. It has a coordinating punch that I will be using in the future, but for this card, I just used the stamp set.  The snowman is heat embossed with white embossing powder. This card can be made with minimal supplies and comes together fairly quickly.

I love a simple fun fold! I started with a Pool Party card base, used the Layering Squares dies for the Real Red and Pool Party layer, and the Stitched With Whimsy dies were to frame my snowman, and also the inside layer.

A quick tip: You can cut your stamps in half!  The Merry Christmas sentiment comes in the set as one long stamp, which works on some projects, but not always.  So I cut the words in half, and now I have options! If I want the long sentiment, I just simply place the stamp together on the block.

Card Measurements, Tips, and Tricks:
  • Pool Party Cardbase 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, score on the 8-1/2 side at 4-1/4 & 2-1/8
  • Inside Whisper White 4 x 5-1/4
  • Use the largest scalloped Layering Square die for the Real Red square, also die cut a Pool Party layer with a straight edge Layering Square die.
  • Use the Stitched With Whimsy dies on the Pool Party square and the inside layer (***note to self: make sure you use them BEFORE you adhere the inside layer to the card.  It worked, but...)
  • Secure ribbon with a glue dot under the knot to disguise it
  • If you don't have a die cutting machine or the dies I used, cut a 3" square and a 2-3/4" square
Now hop on over to Kate Bolt and see what they are sharing!
