Anything But A Card-Let's Get Hopping Round 15

Hey Y'all!
It's another fun hop with the Let's Get Hopping crew!  This month our projects are "Anything But A Card." I have chosen to showcase the Takeout Treats bundle, specifically the box itself.  I almost didn't order this, but one of my fellow demonstrators, Kathy Herring, kept showing us all of the cute things she was making with them, and I knew I had to have them!  Here are two ideas, but the possibilities are endless!
Aren't they precious?  I can't choose which one is my favorite, that's why I am showing both!
I used several punches to make these.  The Lemon Builder punch made the reindeer's ears, and the Sprig punch (my new favorite!) the antlers.  His nose was punched with the 1/2" circle punch.

The Cookie Cutter Builder punch made the eyes for both projects, and also the mouth for the snowman.  His rosy cheeks were made with Powder Pink ink sponged on with a sponge dauber.
The Take Your Pick tool is your best friend for adhering small items like the eyes and mouth of the snowman!
Tips And Tricks:
  • 1/2 sheet of cardstock will make 1 box, you have to cut the framelit twice
  • Use a strong adhesive like Tear and Tape to glue the box together
  • Adhere the bottom of the box first, then the sides
  • The Poppy Parade "scarf" on the snowman was also adhered with Tear and Tape
  • Attach ribbon to the top to make a tree ornament

So which one is your favorite?  Leave a comment and let me know!  Now hop over to the amazing Tracy Bish, I know you are going to love what she has in store!

If you are in the United States and don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I would love to be yours!  If you are interested in purchasing any of the products used, click on the links below to go to my online store.  Thanks for stopping by!
Love,
Nina

  1. Lovely boxes! I think my favourite is the reindeer but that doesn't mean I don't like the snowman. Great project for a workshop with children (or anyone else).
