Sale-A-Bration Saturday-Epic Celbrations

Hey Y'all!
It's Satuday again, and this one came as fast as ever!  I have had a busy week, how about you?  After today, Sale-a-bration 2018 will be in the books.  It has been a great 3 months, I hope you have enjoyed these blog posts, and found some ideas for your Sale-a-bration products.  You have until midnight to get those last minute orders in.
This week's card features Epic Celebrations, and this is a perfect set for a child or teen.  In addition to the image of the tennis shoes, this set includes a guitar and headphones, and some cool dots that I used in the background.

Notice my colors are Orange and Blue...Go Gators!  At least, that's what I say.  Here in the South, we love Mama, Sweet Tea, and the SEC!  And in a couple of weeks, my family will be traveling to Gainesville, FL to see the Spring game.  I'm so excited, it has been YEARS since I've been able to go to a game.  You could say it's time for an "Epic Celebration!" Yea, I went there, I thought it was pretty witty myself.
Do you like how I "laced" my card?  I CASE'd (copy and share everything) that idea from Laura Allen, a fellow demonstrator.  I loved this idea, and I think it added a cool effect to the card.  I used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to add the frame to the Pumpkin Pie Label.  I used a blender pen with the Dapper Denim ink pad to color the shoes.  Dapper Denim is one of the 2016-2018 In Colors that is retiring at the end of May. Stock up on ink, paper, and accessories in those colors that you love.
Now you know by now I just have to dress up the inside of my card.  Since this is intended for a guy, I kept it pretty simple.  This was a fun card to make.
Remember to get your orders in ASAP, today is the very last day to take advantage of the Sale-a-bration specials.  A $50 purchase gets you one Level 1 item, a $100 purchase gets you one Level 2 or two Level 1 items.  Click on the Sale-a-bration banner above and it will take you to my online store where you can see the items.
And I hope we are still friends, even if you're not a Gator fan, or even a sports fan.  Thanks for stopping by!  And remember, no matter whose team you cheer for, YOU'RE AWESOME!
Love,
Nina

Saleabration Saturday-Black Stainless Technique with Springtime Foil DSP

Hey Y'all!
Can you believe we are almost at the end of March?  Only 1 week left to take advantage of the awesome Saleabration deals Stampin' Up! is offering.  And the 3 products I am using today, well, you don't want to miss out on them!  But there is good news, the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies are carrying over into the Annual Catalog!  Have y'all noticed I end just about every sentence with an exclamation point? That's because I am trying to convey my excitement, can you hear it in my voice? Well, I guess not since you are reading this.  But y'all could care less about my punctuation...you're ready to see the goods, aren't you?  Prepare to be "amazed"....
Well, what do you think?  Wait until you see how that technique is done...I am addicted!  Linda Heller, another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, gets credit for coming up with the technique.  You can see her projects at www.lindastamps.com

The Celebrate You Thinlits and coordinating Amazing You Stamp are also Saleabration items, so you get a 3 for 1 today!  Well, time is getting short, and I only have 1 more Saleabration Saturday!
I just love the copper accents on this card.
Card Dimensions:
Card Base:  8-1/2 x 5-1/2
Basic Black Mat:  3-1/4 x 4-1/4
Springtime Foil DSP: 3x4
Copper Foil for thinlits
scrap of Basic Black for heat embossed sentiment

Here is video showing how to do the Black Stainless Technique.  It is so cool!  And while your watching, click on that subscribe button.

Only 1 week left!  Don't wait, if you don't have it already you need the Springtime Foil DSP in your life!  And you can only get it for free!  Purchase $50 to get a Level 1 item, or $100 to get a Level 2.  If you want all 3 items used today, you need to purchase $150 in Stampin' Up! products (if you don't have a Big Shot, now would be a great time to get one, IJS...)  Then you can be the host of your own workshop, and get the Hostess rewards!  Not sure how to do this?  Feel free to contact me by email at www.ninamac70@gmail.com., and I will be happy to help.
If you are purchasing less than $150, when you order, please use Host Code 6Z9VZAMH when you check out.  Click on any item below to purchase, or click the "Shop Now" button.
Sale-A-Bration is a great time to host a workshop because when the amount gets to $250, the hostess receives an additional $25 in rewards!  It is also a great time to become a demonstrator, in addition to the $125 of products for $99, you get to choose 2 additional stamp sets for free.
Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment below and tell me what you thought of this technique.  Remember to subscribe to my blog!
If you are local, I am having a Saleabration Finale Thursday, March 29 at 6:30 pm, and you will have a chance to try out this technique!  See my Facebook page-Nina's Southern Accents-for more details and to RSVP,
Love,
Nina

You've Come A Long Way, Baby!

Hey Y'all!
Today's post is going to be a little bit different.  I'm not showing a particular stamp set or technique, no tips or tricks, nothing like that.  Today we are taking a trip down memory lane.  I was cleaning up my Crap, ahem, I mean Craft, Room, and I came across the very first Stampin' Up! cards I made at the first workshop I ever attended.  Want to see?  Here they are:

And that is where I met the person who would soon become my upline and one of my dearest friends.  I had been cardmaking and crafting for awhile, but had only recently learned of Stampin' Up!  I signed up to have a workshop, and then decided to become a demonstrator.  I had to do something to support my habit!
Guess what else I found....the Make and Take Cards from my Business Launch/Open House.  When you see them, you will understand the title of this post...ok, here goes....
Nothing very fancy.  But I remember my excitement and desire to share with others the joy and satisfaction of creating cards to give to others.  That was October 2016.  I now have a group of stampers that meets once a month, I have a downline of demonstrators, a blog, and a YouTube channel!  I absolutely love what I do, and as the caption under my picture says, this is my therapy.
And to you, my readers, if you have ever thought about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, there is no better time than Sale-a-bration.  There are only a couple of weeks left to take advantage of the deal Stampin' Up! is offering.  Whether you are a hobbyist or want to pursue making an income playing in your craft room, you have nothing to lose.  You purchase the kit for $99 (free shipping by the way), get $125 of product plus 2 more stamp sets of your choice free.  Then you get to enjoy 20% off of your purchases.  To stay an active demonstrator, you must have $300 in sales every quarter.  If you don't make that, then you just drop.  You owe nothing.
I would love to have you join my team.  The friendships I have made through Stampin' Up! are priceless.  And just like my pictures show, you don't have to be an expert.
So, what's stopping you?  Sign up already!  Just click the "Join My Team" link at the top.  I hope you will join me on this journey, I will help you grow and learn any way I can, and in a couple of years you will look back and say the same thing I did...you've come a long way, baby!
If you are a demonstrator reading this, do you remember the excitement when you first signed up?  Do you still have the first Stampin' Up! card you made?  Do you feel like you have come a long way?
So come back here Saturday because I have an "amazing" card that is going to knock your socks off for Sale-a-bration Saturday.  I can't wait for you to see it!
Love,
Nina

Sale-A-Bration Saturday-Heartfelt Blooms

Hey Y'all!
Have you ever had one of those moments where you felt like the spotlight should shine and you hear a choir singing "Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh".  I had one of those moments when I made this card.
Now I am going to be honest with you.  I almost didn't get this stamp set.  It wasn't on my list.  I don't know why, it just didn't jump out at me.  But I had an order that I earned some Sale-A-Bration products, and I had already ordered the things I wanted, so I added it.  And I am so glad I did!! The pictures do not do this stamp justice.  This is a patent-pending technique called "Distinktive" (isn't that just cool how they did that, DistINKtive) that adds different layers of ink to a stamp giving it that amazing look of depth.

That image is stamped just one time, y'all.  And guess what I stamped it on!  A piece of that absolutely gorgeous Wood Textures DSP! (No rush, but the 2017-18 Annual Catalog goes away May 31, and that paper will probably be going as well.  If you want it, you better get it and get it soon! Don't say I didn't warn ya....) And y'all know me, I hardly ever make a card without an embossing folder being involved, and the Pinewood Plank did the trick!

I stamped the image with Crumb Cake Ink all around the perimeter of the Crumb Cake layer, then ran it through the Big Shot to emboss it.  I also did a third-generation stamp of the image (third-generation is just fancy talk meaning I stamped off on a scrap piece of paper 2 times) then stamped the image on the tag.  I love the rustic look of this card!  And that Gingham Ribbon just sets it off.
Nina's Cardmaking Rule: The inside of a handmade card should be just as beautiful as the outside!

Here are the measurements to make this card:
Card Base- Crumb Cake 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
1st Layer-Crumb Cake 5-7/8 x 4-3/8
Night of Navy Mat-4-1/4 x 3-1/4
Wood Textures DSP-3 x 4
Whisper White for Inside of Card- 4 x 3-1/4
So I made a short video showing you how I used the Everyday Label Punch for both pieces of the tag, it shows you how to stretch your punch and get more out of it!  Here it is:

One last look......

You only have 14 more days to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration deals!  And this is one stamp set you don't want to miss out on.  If you purchase the Everyday Label Punch, and the paper and ink to make this card, you will qualify for a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration item, like the Heartfelt Blooms.  A $100 purchase qualifies you for 2 Level 1 or 1 Level 2 products.  You can click on the Sale-A-Bration Link at the top to see a handy-dandy chart that explains all of this.  When you order, please use Host Code 6Z9VZAMH when you check out.
Thank you for joining me for Sale-A-Bration Saturday, there are so many ideas on Pinterest and YouTube using this stamp set.
Leave a comment and tell me if you love it as much as I do! Or let me know what your favorite Sale-A-Bration item is.
Have a great Saturday!
Love,
Nina
